Frequently asked questions

Is my data private?: Yes. Everything you enter stays on your own device. The app has no account, no server, and no tracking.
How does the calculation work?: The app calculates Zakat on your net assets (your total assessable assets minus liabilities) and applies the 2.5% rate when your net total reaches the Nisab threshold. You choose whether the Nisab is based on silver or gold, and you set the current price per gram in Settings.
Where do I start?: Open Settings (Start Here) and enter your name, currency, Hawl date, Nisab basis, and the current gold and silver prices. Then add your assets and liabilities on the Assets tab.
Can I move my data to a new phone?: The app stores data locally, so it does not sync automatically. Use the export option on the Guide tab to save a copy before switching devices.
How do I reset everything?: Use the reset option on the Guide tab, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.
