Frequently asked questions
- Is my health data private?
- Yes. Everything you log stays on your own device. The app has no account, no server, and no tracking, so your headache records and triggers are never shared with us or anyone else unless you choose to export and share them yourself.
- Does this app diagnose my headaches or tell me what medication to take?
- No. It is an informational self-tracking tool only. It does not diagnose, recommend medication or doses, or replace professional care. If you notice any red-flag symptom, or your headaches change or worsen, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
- How do I get started?
- Tap any day on the Calendar and add a headache: the start time, how long it lasted, an intensity from 1 to 10, the type and location, whether you had an aura, up to three suspected triggers, and any medication. There is no need to log a headache-free day.
- How does the trigger analysis work?
- For every trigger you tag, the app counts how many of your attacks it appeared in and the average intensity of those attacks. A trigger that is both frequent and high-intensity is the one most worth tackling first. Real patterns need a few weeks of honest logging, so give it time.
- What is the medication-overuse watch?
- The monthly summary flags months where you treated headaches on many days, because taking acute medication too often can cause more headaches over time. As a rough guide it flags 10 or more days on triptans or combination painkillers, or 15 or more days on simple painkillers. If you see a flag, raise it with your doctor and never stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
- Can I move my data to a new phone?
- The app stores data locally, so it does not sync automatically. Use the export option on the Guide tab to save a CSV report or a JSON backup before switching devices.
- How do I reset everything?
- Use the reset option on the Guide tab, or uninstall the app to remove all local data from your device.
